Future deliberation of Public corporation for ownership transfer of companies and economic units (PCOT) the corporation executed plans for ownership of productive units for which approval is issued according to periodical program.

The corporation prepares informative program which include various symposiums, conferences and informative program through different means.

The corporation participates in study of status of excessive employment and effect of execution on ownership transfer program, on labor market whether in the stage prior or after ownership transfer to participate in preparation of studies for the purpose of ownership transfer of economic units for other remaining sectors according to prevailing bases.

(PCOT)was established according to GPC decision no.198 for year 2000 as subsidiary of GPC to execute program of ownership transfer of public economic units to expand ownership base in order to achieve socialism for the people and to give major role for national activity in economy to develop efficiency and competitiveness, capability in the field of production services and to contribute in achievement of growth.

GPC decision no.217 for year 2005 was issued for transfer of (PCOT) subsidiary to GPC for economy, trade and investment.

Corporation's duties as per approved rules of ownership transfer according to GPC decision No.52 for year 2005 as follows:-

1. To make primary studies for companies and public economic units aimed for ownership transfer and proposed plans of what will be owned, which will be submitted to high committee of administration program for ownership transfer in order to approve resuming arrangements.

2. To limit suitable method for ownership transfer of each company or economic unit according to technical measures and to limit necessary arrangements to re-organize its chart to achieve success for program of ownership transfer and to inform supervising authority to execute it and give technical advice to guarantee its success and propose treatments of problems and complications.

3. To sort additional assets of the company or economic units aimed for ownership transfer and estimate its value according to prevailing rules and proposed exemptions, facilities, benefits and necessary protection for these units

4. To evaluate companies and units aimed for ownership transfer to show results which reflect different values of its financial status according to used methods of evaluation.

5. To establish joint stock companies and Tsharukiat which will be based on net assets owned for contribution.

6. To submit results of evaluation of units which its ownership is decided in a form of joint stock companies and Tsharukiat for approval by GPC.

7. To follow collection of ownership transfer installments which will be lodged in the special account opened for this purpose.

8.To coordinate with concerned authorities to prepare system for forming corporations to assist in execution and success of ownership transfer program.

9. To propose investment chances for local and foreign participation.

Executive program

The authority resumes its duties through administrations and offices which study and follow operations of ownership transfer and prepare necessary periodical reports under direct supervision of peoples committee of the corporation.

The corporation depend on permanent formed committees specialized in all fields which supervise study of details and ownership transfer operations in all shabiat. National experts and formed committee evaluate economic units according to scientific bases, local labor environment and conditions. It is possible to contract with foreign expertise if necessary.

Establishment of Tasharukiat and joint stock companies through committee formed which will be responsible to complete legal arrangements for establishment and to resume advertising for shares by all means or through authorized parties. These committees will be assisted by attorney for legal arrangements according to prevailing rules.
