01.02.2007 The Libyan -Turkish Joint Committee for Cooperation has signed Wednesday afternoon in Tripoli the minutes of the 20th session of the Libyan-Turkish Joint Committee for Cooperation in economic , commercial, scientific and technical fields. The Minutes, signed by Secretary of GPC for Economy, Trade, and Investment, and Turkish State Minister for Foreign Trade, stressed promoting cooperation between both countries in economic and commercial fields. The minutes provides for forming a joint technical team to study the means to increase commercial exchange, and verifying the exchanged products, and to intensify contacts and exchange of commercial delegations' visits, in addition to participating in exhibitions organized in both countries. The minutes also provides for the establishment of joint investment projects in Africa , and encouraging the non-state sector in the two countries to carry out joint investment in tourism field. The minutes also fixed other fields for joint cooperation including, energy, electricity, water, gas, transportations, housing, utilities, training and manpower. During this session, an agreement signed to establish a joint council of businessmen in both courtiers, and a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between Exports Development Center , in Great Jamahiriya, and Exports Development Center in Turkey .
