The Secretary of the General People's Committee for Economic, Trade and Investment underlined the importance to support and consolidate the economic cooperation between Great Jamahiriya and Turkey .

The Secretary called , in a speech delivered at the out set of 20the session of the Libyan-Turkish Joint Committee today in Tripoli , to develop the existing cooperation between the two countries and to enlarge it and open it before the non-state sector to carry out its role in the fields of trade and investment cooperation.

The Secretary noticed that the trade exchange between both countries had doubled in the past four years that led to partnership stage and joint investment, especially in the fields of agriculture, cereals and fish by-products that Great Jamahiriya seeks to export to neighboring countries and to the EU countries.

The Secretary underlined the chances for tourism and oil production investment available in the Great Jamahiriya.
