Secretary of GPC for Education affirmed that all enquiries made by the BPC's regarding the accountability of the General People's Committee and its affiliated Sectors are true and precise and need practical handling.

In his response to the questions addressed by the BPC's on the accountability and performances of the educational sector, the Secretary said that the number of students in Great Jamahiriya has reached ( 1.5 ) million students and that the number of teachers is ( 334.000 ) at a rate of one teacher to every four students at the Basic and Intermediate Stage.

He noticed that the educational sectors has ( 58.600 ) employees and that the number of classrooms is about ( 60314 ), that is an average of one class to every ( 24 ) students.

He added that the GPC allocated the sum of ( 343 ) million dinars to the Sector of Education by providing school laboratories and the launching of the National Computer Project.
