Verenex Energy Inc., a Calgary oil and gas company with int'l operations, has begun drilling its second exploration well in Libya and is testing its first well. The company said Tuesday the well in Libya's so-called Area 47 is expected to be drilled to a depth of about 3,600 metres and is the second of three minimum commitment wells under the company's contract. It's estimated it will take 85 days to drill the well. Meanwhile, Verenex has also begun completion and production testing at its first exploration well in Libya.
