The National planting Campaign in Great Jamahiriya has accomplished One Million Tow Hundred and Thirty thousand seedlings by yesterday Sunday 14th of January 2007.

Sources at the General People's Committee for Agriculture, Animal and Water Resources reported that this campaign which is executed in cooperation with National Committee for the Youth Voluntary Work is continuing successfully with participation of (9465 ) volunteers of the National Committee for the Youth Voluntary Work form different popular sectors.

The sources added that ( 602.216 ) of forest seedlings were planted in Al-Jabal Al-Akhder, and (157.111) of forest seedlings and (142.126 ) of olive seedlings were planted in Al-Jabal al-Gharbi, and (30.395 ) of forest seedlings were planted in Tripoli Shabya, and (49.000 ) of forest seedlings and (14.500) of olive seedlings were planted in Al-Assa Project, besides planting of (49.190 ) of forest seedlings in Zawia Shabya, and (6150 ) of forest seedlings in Musrata Shabyia.

The campaign also included the planting of ( 10500 ) of forest seedlings in Al-Wahat Shabya, and (4000) of olive seedlings at Gubeen Project, (28000) seedlings at Al-Murgeb Shabya, and (8760) of forest seedlings and (11,000)of olive seedlings were planted in National Park of Musellata .
