Secretary of GPC for Public Security met this morning in Benghazi Shabia with Secretaries of People's Committees for Security in Butnan, Derna, Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar, Al-Wahaat and Al-Marij Shabias.

At the outset of the meeting, the SEcretary of GPC for Public Security saluted the Leader of the Revolution for his concern about the Public Security Sector, underlining in his speech at this meeting, the Sector's keen interest to carry out the resolutions of the Basic People's Congresses specially in connection with the application of Local People's Security in accordance with the dictum that security is the responsibility of every male and female citizen.

The meeting addressed the need to provide traffic security on public roads to protect lives and properties.

On the other hand, the means to prevent crime and to deal with illegal immigration phenomenon, up grading the competence of the operatives of public security in order to be able to carry out their duties in a scientific and progressive manner, were under discussion.
