The Secretariat of GPC for Education held its first meeting for this year Monday Morning in Tripoli.

During the meeting, the Secretariat followed up the executive measures regarding the GPC Decree number (98) for the year 2006, related to adopting some rules regarding those working in teaching field. .

The Secretariat reaffirmed the need to execute the GPC Decree regarding teaching profession and to refer those educationally unqualified to the GPC for Manpower, Training and Employment , underling that this action does not affect their job rights and salaries, rather that would help in qualifying them according to their specializations .

The Secretariat decided to charge Examinations Department to speed up measures to insert the modern mechanism in selecting exams questions and to carry out mechanical correction of answer papers.

The Secretary of GPC for Education announced, during the meeting, the creation of a financial departments in each Shabia, to be charged with paying teachers' salaries on regular bases as of the beginning of this year, underlining that the Secretariat will provide all facilities in all shabias to speed up the establishment of these new departments to carry out their duties.

The Secretary indicated that Educational Instruments Department will submit to the Secretariat a work plan related to the execution of the National Computer Project to be distributed to all educational institutions.
