Assistant Secretary of General People's Committee accompanied by the Under-Secretaries of GPC and GPC for Public Security and the Secretary of People's Committee of Customs' Department, paid a field visit Monday to the Border Gate at Ras- Ejdair to follow up citizens movement and the flow of goods through this outlet between Great Jamahiriya and sisterly Tunisia .

They also inspected the construction works at the new administration building, stressing the need to speed up work to complete this project at the set dead line .

On the margin of this field visit, a meeting was held with Secretary of People's Committee of Al-Niqat Al-Khamss, director of the border gate and other officials at this outlet.

The meeting also included a number of Tunisian Customs' officials where both sides stressed the importance of coordination between different authorities at this border gate in order to facilitate travel movement for citizens and trade exchange between both countries to promote the brotherly ties linking the two sisterly countries.

It is worth noting that the new Administration Building at Ras Ejdair Border Gate is under construction by Africa Company for Engineering and Projects and it comprises several utilities and passengers' services , customs' offices, a club, cafe shop, tax free shop, storehouses and other services.
