The General People's Committee for Culture and Information exalted the pioneer of world peace, creative writer and author Muammar al-Gathafi.

In a speech delivered by the secretary of the People's Committee for Culture and Information of Tripoli Shabaya, in the celebration organized on the occasion of the floating book fair on board the ship (Logos II) Wednesday evening in Al-Sha'ap harbour, in Tripoli City, the committee underlined its ever readiness to work for the realization of the goals of Great Jamahiriya in the field of knowledge, underlining that knowledge is a natural right of every human being, and that ignorance would end when everything is presented as it is.

The committee highlighted that the noble values heralded by the Third Universal Theory for freedom, social justice, sciences and knowledge is embodied today by the presence of this world ship in Great Jamahiriya due to the efforts of Watassimou Association for Charitable work, and its secretary general Dr. Aisha Muammar al-Gathafi.

It underlined that hosting the floating book fair on board the ship (Logos II) which began Wednesday evening in Al-Sha'ap harbour, in Tripoli City, at the outset of the festivities of "Tripoli, the capital of Islamic Culture for 2007" is a cultural and scientific event, that constitutes a tributary of providence and knowledge.
