Revolutionary laws , concerning total or partial nationalization of companies specializing in the oil industry , were the revolution s instrument in gaining con- trol for the Libyan people over their own wealth. 1. Law no . 69 for 1970 concerning the confinement of importation, selling and distribution of oil products to noc , and the nationalization of the following companies:-
Ever since the outbreak of the Great First of september Revolution when the Libyan Arab people regained their freedom and became capable of controlling their own destiny upon their land, the Oil lndustry has witnessed radical changes. The great revolution took particular in Oil sector, effecting revolutionary and immediatate steps, chief among which, were the folloming:-
a. Sale company "a Libyan Incorporated company".
b. Shell Libya ltd.
c. Esso standard - Libya Inc. (marketing section).
d. Esso standard near east ( Libya branch).
2. Law No . 115 for 1971 concerning the nationalization of British petroleum (exploration) Libya ltd., and the establishment instead, of a national company under the name of Arabian gulf oil company (ago-co).
3. law no. 42 for 1973 concerning the nationalization of the rights of Nilson bunker hunt in oil concession no .65.
4. law no . 44 for 1973 concerning the nationalization of 51% of occidental of Libya Inc.
