Signature of contract for designing railways project

 

The executive authority for management and execution of railways project signed with Libyan and German engineering offices contract for designing the railway from Benghazi to Tobruk and from Tobruk to Ummsaed.  The contract stipulates that design of the 700 km railway will be completed within 22 months and the value of designing is 16 million Libyan dinars.  The railway is designed for high speed and for transport of cargo and passengers to link Benghazi with Ummssaed.  Execution of the project will be through tender with the specialized international companies.
