Libya’s development plan amounted 130 billion dollarsResources from GPC announced that 2283 contracts for 1948 projects are included in the Libyan national development program which amounted 130 billion dollars equivalent to 137.7 billion dinars.
39.433 billion dinars were spent in 2009 on executed projects; and projects under construction are estimated to be 98.287 billion dinars.
73.955 billion dollars will be allocated for execution of projects during the next 3 years and execution of most of the projects will be completed in 2012.
Projects after 2012 related to sectors of electricity, railways and services will be for 24,332 billion dinars.
Amount allocated for housing project is 78.2 billion dinars for execution of 1430 projects.
Remaining financial obligation amounted 64.43 billion dinars in addition to projects of electricity sector which amounted to 15.9 billion dinars.
Total value of railways projects amounted 9.711 billion dinars and communication sector projects are estimated for 13,948 billion dinars including construction of airports, sea ports, roads and bridges.
The Libyan national council during its meeting at the end of 2009 approved the budgets for 2010, 2011 and 2012 for 85 billion dinars which is allocated as follows: 34.29 billions for 2010, 27.7 billion for 2011 and 29.9 billions for 2012.
