Subsidiary of National Oil Corporation Main Tenders Committee INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AZZAWIYA OIL HARBOUR Further to our previous announcement, Azzawiya Oil Refining Company (LIBYA) wishes to extend the opportunity for more national and foreign companies who are specialized in the field of marine works, particularly in the design and execution of oil harbours, and who have the desire, capability and adequate experience in this field, by inviting them to present the required documents for the purpose of prequalification in order to be able to participate in the tender of execution of Azzawiya Oil Harbour , Azzawiya, (45 km west of Tripoli) Great Jamahiriya (LIBYA). Scope of Works The Scope of Works for the purpose of constructing a wholly-protected harbour consists but not limited to the following basic activities:
Platforms for loading and discharging of crude oil and oil products whose capacities range between 5,000 and 150,000 tons. A Quay (dock) for tug boats. A bridge for the pipelines and a general service road.
Exporting of white products. Supply of base oils. Handling of LPG. Fire Fighting system.
Management and service buildings. · Construction and pavement of roads. · Electrical, Instrumentation, and telecommunication works. · Laying and extending of pipes. Required Documents 1. Legal status of the company or Joint Venture. 2. A certificate of registration in the Commercial Register. 3. An evidence of payment of all due taxes. 4. Experience in executing similar works inside LIBYA and/or abroad. 5. Managerial organization and financial status of the company, in addition to attaching a report on the company’s budget for the last three years. 6. A list of the works performed by the company at present, site(s) of the works and their contract price(s). 7. Types and numbers of labour to be engaged in executing the Project if such company wins the project. 8. Sub-contractor(s), if any. 9. A letter of Guarantee from the parent company in case of the company being a subsidiary of another company or joint venture. 10. Any other information companies wish to submit. Therefore, all companies that desire to participate in the tender shall submit a dossier with the above-mentioned documents to the General Manager of Engineering and Projects, Office No. 106, First Floor of the Operations Building, Azzawiya Oil Refining Co., Azzawiya, Great Jamahiriya, not later than September 25th, 2008.
