Occidental Libya Oil & Gas BV (Libyan Branch) intends to pre-qualify Contractors offering 2D and 3D seismic acquisition capabilities. This qualification process is in preparation for a request to provide competitive proposals for seismic acquisition in Area 31/32/47/48/49/65/66 (NC143) in the Ghadames Basin and Area 103 in the Sirte Basin.  Local and international Contractors specializing in 2D and 3D seismic data acquisition are invited to register their interest in receiving a pre-qualification package by providing the information requested below.

Basic Qualifications:

·         Contractor can provide proof of registration in the country of operations.

         Contractor can provide audited financial statements for the past 3 years.

·         Contractor has sufficient equipment, crews, and experience to begin acquisition of 1,800 km2 of 3D seismic data beginning in November 2008, and/or 3,000 km2 of 2D seismic data in December, 2008.

·         Contractor can provide reference of experience of seismic acquisition services inside and outside of Libya during the last 3 years.

Required Information:

Contractors requesting a pre-qualification package should provide the information requested below. A request for additional Information will be provided in the pre-qualification package.

3. Business license issued by the Libyan General People’s Committee for the Economy, Trade and Investment authorizing practice of business activity.

    

4. Address and contact to which the pre-qualification package may be sent

    

5. Details of Ownership/Corporate Organization

    

6. Identify whether company is publically held, including details of Parent, Affiliate and Subsidiary companies.

    

7. Organization chart depicting the relationship between the companies

    

8. Provide the name of major shareholders in the company and their percentage of equity interest.

    

9. Name of Managing Director or Owner.

    

10. Full address of local affiliate office.

     

11. Brief description of equipment specifications, capabilities, limitations, number of available crews, and timing of crew availability .

     

Occidental Libya Oil & Gas BV reserves the right to request further information from Contractors requesting a pre-qualification package. Contractors supplying insufficient or inadequate information will be excluded from further consideration.
