Article (1)

For each import commodity or services one distributor or more and one distributing agent a more in Libya’s cities according population density of each city. The relation should be directly with producer or party rendering services or main distributor. The minimum number of distributors and distributing agents in Libya’s cities will be according GPC for economy, trade and investment issued decision.

Article (2)

Distribution of goods which will be stated later will be through one distributor or more and one distributing agent or more for only one category of the following four categories.

Article (3)

The distribution of goods which will be stated later will be through one distributor or more and one distributing agent or more for only one category from the one category and will not exceed three agencies for the following goods:

Medical devices used in the diagnosis and treatment purposes.

Article (4)

GPC for Economy, trade and investment identifies the foodstuffs and construction materials that could be imported without adherence to the existence distribution agents or distributors.

Article (5)

Managers of public corporations or relatives till the fourth grade should not resume works of distributing agencies of goods which these authorities import or to have relation with work field during their working period in these corporation.

Article (6)

All commercial agencies which apply legislation of this decision should reconcile their status in agreement with legislations during a period which will not exceed 31-12-2008.

Article (7)

To cancel GPC decision No.(83) for 2006 and any contradicting rule to be cancelled.

Article (8)

This decision to be applied from date of issue, to be executed by concerned authorities and published.
