On 19th August, during routine maintenance at Storage Tank No. 7 of Al-Harouge Oil Operations at Ras Lanuf Terminal, a fire broke out in the storage tank and firemen and other employees are currently working to put it out with the help of other nearby oil companies, namely Sirte Oil, Ras Lanuf Co. and Waha Oil Co. All the necessary precautionary steps have been taken to stop the fire from spreading to the adjacent oil tanks. No injuries have been reported and all oil exporting operations from the Ras Lanuf Terminal are unaffected by the fire.
