Wavefield inseis announced that it has entered into a letter of interim arrangement with BP Libya for one of the world’s largest 3D seismic acquisition and onboard processing contracts ever to be awarded.
The survey, which will take place offshore in the sirt basin, will be acquired using wavefield’s latest 3D vessel Geowave Endeavour and is expected to take approximately one year to complete. The contract will incorporate the industry’s largest ever onboard processing project that includes SRME and full pre-Stack time migration.
“This award is another confirmation that wavefield inseis are fully accepted as a professional supplier of high- end acquisition and onboard processing services. It’s also a vital contribution to our strategy of improving the visibility of the company going forward,” said CEO, Atle Jacobsen.
