 The 25 th meeting of African oil producers league ministerial meeting will be held on 28/03/2008 in Bawndi capital of Cameroon.

The following issues will be studied and discussed:-

  • Minutes of meeting of the 24 th meeting.
  • Executive secretary's report during the period 2007-2008 in addition to the financial report and budget for 2007-2008.
  • Revising report of bank information system, discussing proposal of work program and 2008-2009 budget.
  • Discussing C.V.'s of applicants who will occupy the functions of executive secretary and assistant secretary of financial and administrative affairs.

Mr. Ismail Elsedeg, Libya's representative and accompanying delegates will participate in the meeting.

The League was established on 27-04-1987 for exploitation of oil wealth of the following 14 member countries:-

Algiers, Benin, Cameroon, Congo, Democratic Congo, Con De Fwar, Egypt, Gabon, Tropical Ginenea, Nigeria, Chad, South Africa and Libya.

League's head quarter is in Brasavile town, in the Congo and it consist from the following authorities:

  • Ministerial council
  • Experts committee
  • Any other authority to achieve its aims
  • Participation of each country in the league is $ 130,000.00 every year.

The league has a fund for financing technical studies with capital of 5 million dollars. The league's location is in Benin.

Libya positively participated in the league due its recognized experience in oil industry and it is considered a significant member in the league.
