Swedish mine clearing technology and services provider Countermine Technologies AB said on Monday (18 August) that it has won new contracts in Libya and Croatia. In Libya the company won a SEK6m contract to clear a 1,000-square kilometre former military site contaminated with mines and unexploded ammunition. The contract represents a continuation of a general survey contract Countermine Technologies won earlier this year from a major oil company. In Croatia, the company won a SEK7m assignment to clear a 547,000-square metre area. Parts of this project will be carried out with the help of subcontractors.
