04.12.2007 Oil prices around $90 a barrel are still reasonable when adjusted for inflation, the head of Libya's OPEC delegation Shukri Ghanem said on Tuesday. "Prices are still very reasonable" if compared to the 1981 inflation-adjusted peak, he told reporters. Prices then hit an equivalent of $101 a barrel in today's money. OPEC remained committed to meet real demand for oil, he added. "If the market needs oil, we give oil," Ghanem said. "I don't think it needs it." He said he would not oppose any possible collective decision by OPEC to raise output at the Wednesday meeting. /Africa Reuters/
