The visiting Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nanis Valnakis, Wednesday held talks with top Libyan government officials on area s of co-operation between Greece and Libya, according to official sources here.
His talks were with his Libyan counterpart, Mohamed Tahar Siala, and the Libya n cabinet minister in charge of foreign affairs Abderrahmane Chalgham.
The two parties discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and examined ways of promoting them.
The Greek minister also congratulated Libya for its election to a UN Security Council seat, saying the election followed Libya's distinguished role and support for world peace and security issues.
