In the name of People :

The Revolutionary Council of Leadership ;

after perusal of the Constitutional Declaration issued on 2nd Shawal 1389 H. corresponding to 11th December 1969, and the Law No,(65) of the year 1970 A.D., prescribing some rules relevant to traders and commercial companies and supervision thereon,

and upon proposal of the minister of Economy and agreement of opinion of the cabinet, have issued the following Law :

First Article

To article (2) of the said Law No. (65) of the year 1970 there shall be added a new clause which text is as follows :

" There shall be excluded from the rule of this article the nationals of the States of the Union of Arab Republics, who are partners in solidarity companies or companies of partnership in commendam, which are existing at the time of enforcement of the rules of this Law.

Second Article

This Law shall be workable and applicable as from the date of effectiveness of the Law No,(65) of the year 1970 A.D., and be published in the official gazette.

The Council of ministers Resoluti on of the Council

of Ministers in determination of activity sectors which the forgien companies working therein shall be permitted to open branched in the Libyan arab republic

The Council of Ministers;

After perusal of article (22) )of the Law No .(65) of the year 1970 in prescription of some rules pertinent to merchants, commercial companies and supervision thereon,

and acting upon proposal of the minister of economy memorandum No. T.A.P /7/55361 dated 10/6/1391 H, corresponding to 2/8/1971 have decided :

Article (1)

The foreign companies which arc practicing works lying within the sectors activity stated here under may be permitted to open branches in the Libyan Arab republic for a renewable five years period

(1) The activity practiced by the foreign air lines companies and maritime transport companies.

(2) Sector of industry, mineral wealth , consultations and industrial researches.

(3) Aerial photography.

(4) Removal of mines

(5) Petroleum engineering services

(6) Geological services including geological and geo-chemical prospect, and strata samples services.

(7) Drilling and maintenance services of wells

(8) Geophysical services.

(9) Technical services of clay and drilling liquids

(10) Electronic prospect and off share investigation

(11) Engineering studies and services for works under surface

(12) General constructions of sea ports pipe lines and storage tanks.

(13) Civil engineering works, maritime works and consultation

(14) Communications and wore less services.

15) Companies operating in computers , accounting machines and maintenance thereof,

This Resolution shall be effective from the date of its issue and be published in the official gazette.
