In the name OF People :

The Revolutionary Council of Leadership; after perusal of the Constitutional Declaration No(1) issued on 2nd Shawl 1389H corresponding to 11th December 1969.

and the Commercial Law, and the Law No. (65) of the year 1970 prescribing some rules relevant to merchants, commercial companies and supervision thereon, and upon proposal of the minister of Economy and agreement of opinion of the Cabinet, have decided the following :

First Article

Article (1) of the said Law No, (65)of the year l970 A.D. shall be replaced by the following text :

Article (1)

It is conditioned that, every natural person whose name is registered on the commercial registry, or who is practicing trade in whatsoever capacity, should be enjoying the nationality of the Libyan Arab Republic. This rule shall not be applicable on the persons who were recorded on the commercial registry nor the

small traders who obtained licences from the concerned Municipality to practice work, provided that the date of record on the Registry or the licence is prior to the date of effectiveness of this Law.

second Article

This Resolution is to be published in the official gazette, and be in force as from the date of enforcement of the foresaid Law No, (65) of the year 1970.
