GPC Libya decision No. (188) for 2008 for additional assignments to public transport and distribution gas company and deciding some legislations

Article (1)

To add to assignments of public transport and distribution gas company the following:

  • To execute projects of development plan in field of transport and distribution of gas and all related financial arrangements.
  • To make studies, technical and economical researches concerning transport and distribution of gas in future development works for construction and expansion of gas transport and distribution nets.
  • To propose executive policies for gas transport and distribution affairs and necessary measures to organize its activity.
  • To propose specifications and measures in field of gas services.
  • To propose strategic plans for the long, medium and short run in field of gas transport and distribution for submission to concerned authorities for approval.

Article (2)

The company may participate with existing companies or establish new companies with national or foreign partners according prevailing regulations and may buy the service to perform satisfactorily its duties and assignments.

Article (3)

This decision to be applied from date of issue, any contradicting rule to be cancelled and to be executed by concerned authorities.
