The main recommendations for National Sustainable Tourism Policy (NSTP) are:-
To develop NSTP which amalgamates policies of other sectors concerning tourism growth, environmental tourism and development of rural regions.
Amalgamation of environmental, social and economical aims in policy for development of sustainable tourism.
To ascertain amalgamation of expectations and ambitions of local inhabitants gatherings to NSTP.
NSTP to be according Libyan cultural and normal principles.
To develop national system for national protected regions and parks to be considered as basic assets of NSTP.
To apply NSTP by using joint plans, regulations, economic elements and infrastructures (actual and environmental charts), etc..
To act in order that NSTP will include the circumstances for development of qualifications of the local and international companies which are rendering tourism services.
Recommendations:-
To give importance to Arab and local tourism.
To exchange information between different countries.
Data and basic information are not sufficient to take decisions.
There is need for technical assistance and to enlighten citizens.
There is need for upgrading capabilities (including police tourism) and tourism crew.
There is a need of social and cultural evaluation in regions in which tourism will be developed.
There is a need to improve the administration of Wadi Alkof park.
To enlighten citizens and support them locally.
To limit and protect national and cultural regions (such as Alkof park).
Local and international tourism guides need guidance and laws to assist them.
To increase number and control and to apply existing laws concerning tourism in deserts and historical locations.
Tourism guides in Libya should submit information on good and bad administrative procedures as well as recommendations to tourism development authority.
To strengthen amalgamation between the secretariats and sectors as well as public and private sectors in the field of tourism.
To strengthen cooperation between institutes and corporations in order to be used in taking decisions.
Institutes and private sector which are responsible on planning should consider tourism negative effects.
To ascertain control and follow up operations for evaluation.
Libya should state which kind of tourism is required.
To prepare main plan to demonstrate the kind of tourism and its development.
To develop new experience for Libyan citizens.
To use houses and traditional Arab habits.
To prepare geographic data base to be used in taking decisions.
To upgrade level of understanding of other activities related to environment.
To encourage new kind of tourism such as supervision of birds and marine tortoises.
To amalgamate environment tourism in the general main plan of national tourism.
To encourage sustainable tourism.
To enlighten students in schools and universities about protection and sustainable tourism.
To consider climate negative effect on others.
Libyan authorities should struggle against smuggling of animals and architectural pieces.
Proposal for establishment of national center for fundamental variety with the assistance of the US organization for education, culture and science.
To ascertain the importance of exchange of information between local corporations and tourism guides.
To make studies on immigrant birds to develop protection plans and to render new tourism activities such as birds supervision.
To make studies on priorities with the assistance of international organizations.
To classify natural and cultural locations (coastal and internal).
To prepare feasibility study which include negative effects on environment, society and economy of the region.
To cooperate between Libyan and tourism authorities concerning tourism.
To warrant cooperation between public authorities and private companies investing in field of tourism.
Evaluation of negative effect should include social problems concerning generations.

To warrant that natural and cultural resources especially protected regions which Libya announce and propose and especially shore areas to be considered in preparing the main national tourism plan in the short and long run and to guarantee that these regions will benefit from local housing gatherings.
To warrant announcement of regions which Libya will propose as protected marine regions and to be included in the protected marine regions of Mediterranean net.

To set regulations on high standard for environment protection.
We should know that all kinds of tourism have negative effect and to state guidance hints for each kind of tourism and tourism guides (regarding housing, accommodation, land and marine voyages) and to ascertain application of these points by applying laws.
To do utmost in upgrading capabilities of authorities and corporations on planning of coastal regions and protection of natural and cultural heritage as well as evaluation of negative effect on environment.
To make analysis of revenue concerning marine regions which are subject to protection after investment which will be profitable for Libya .
To establish financial mechanism based on fines for pollution of the place in the preliminary stage of tourism development.
Peoples support should exist for protection of operations to enlighten society on environment protection.
